There were so many activities to do like kite surfing, cycling, and horse riding. We even tried our hand at surfing and had a blast. The location was amazing, with Inkwenkwezi Game Reserve right on our doorstep. The staff were super cool and made us feel at home. Definitely the perfect spot for young adventure seekers like us!
The only thing we would have loved is if they had more late-night party options for us party animals. Other than that, it was an epic stay!

We loved the stunning views of the estuary and the nearby walks and beaches. The accommodation options, from shared dorms to individual cottages/studios, catered to our needs. Our studio had a wonderful view of the sea and was clean, with a small fridge and coffee/tea making facilities. The evening meals were reasonably priced and delicious. The breakfasts, including the Sunday freebie, were excellent. We enjoyed meeting different age groups each night, making it a great place for young families like us.
We felt really welcomed and had no complaints.

The bar had a good selection of drinks to choose from, perfect for enjoying an evening on the deck with a view of the lagoon and Chintsa Bay. A gem on the Wild Coast.
The staff made me feel like a burden and the Wi-Fi was a joke, only 100mb for a 4-day stay. But who needs friendly service and internet anyway?

Staff were incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to assist me when I got sick. The beautiful location overlooking the lagoon and beach is simply breathtaking. The private houses are a must-book and the views are jaw-dropping. The staff, especially Michelle, were friendly and provided excellent service. The bar prices were reasonable and the overall setting was great with magnificent views. The room was perfect and had a stunning mosaic bathroom. The staff were accommodating and the whole experience was extremely good value. The pool was lovely and the use of boogie boards and a canoe in the lagoon was a bonus. The self-catering cottage had everything we needed, including a well-equipped kitchenette. The staff even brought a special mattress overlay to make the bed more comfortable for me. They provided a fan when I asked for one and even matched it with the room decor. The owner personally delivered adaptors for our cell chargers. The view from the patio was spectacular, making it a paradise-like experience.

I had the most wonderful stay at Buccaneers On The Beach. The location of this beachfront lodge was absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views of the ocean. The newly renovated room I stayed in had a spacious terrace overlooking the water, and it was simply beautiful. The staff at the lodge were super friendly and helpful, making me feel extremely welcome throughout my stay. The meals served at the restaurant were excellent, and I especially enjoyed the dinners in the evening. The bar prices were also very reasonable, allowing me to have a great time without breaking the bank. I loved the fact that I could enjoy some yoga sessions with monkeys playfully jumping around above my head - it added a unique touch to the experience. The beach itself was absolutely gorgeous, with an abundance of sea shells to explore. I had a fantastic time at Buccaneers On The Beach and would highly recommend it.

I recently stayed at Buccaneers On The Beach for a few nights and had an incredible experience. The view from my room overlooking the beach was absolutely stunning. In the evening, I enjoyed a delicious dinner at the hotel's restaurant, with a vegetarian option available for only 75 Rand per person. The staff at the hotel were extremely welcoming and went above and beyond to accommodate us, even giving us a ride when our car had difficulty over the speed humps. The room itself was fantastic, with a breathtaking 180° view from the balcony and an amazing shower. The swimming pool was great, and I loved watching the nests of masked weaver birds. The walk down to the beach was gorgeous, and the beach itself was perfect for surfing. One highlight of my stay was the opportunity to visit a nearby township and help in a soup kitchen, where I had the chance to try a traditional Xhosa meal. The cold breakfast of fruit-muesli-yogurt was exceptional, and I couldn't have asked for a better stay overall.
Strongly recommend this hotel.

The location of this hotel is absolutely stunning, with amazing views and the opportunity to paddle up the river and walk on the beach. One of the best aspects was that despite being self-catering, we had the option to eat at the restaurant, which was really convenient. the staff member who showed us to our room was incredibly friendly and provided us with great tips about the area.
There were a few things that could have been improved. we were disappointed that there were no toasters in our room and no braai facilities.
